Title: GPS Data
Post by: sam19 on February 17, 2016, 11:44:21 AM
Hi guys,

i have a big catalog of GPS data from 90% of uk tracks, what is the best way to use this data and make a simple circuit with elevations? or is anybody willing to help with the creation of some UK tracks?

I think that you can import the data into bobs track builder but it has to be a certain format

This is great timing as I have just started working with google earth and btb

to do this I think that you need to put the data into google earth to make a 'path'
Once you have done this save it whatever track it is and save it as a kml file
Next go into btb and do file import then select the kml file
There I an option to do with elevations however I don't know about it
Press OK then btb should make a track using the data which should be pretty accurate

I am not certain on this but I think it works

Hope this helps
