Title: Building a kart sim.
Post by: j0e on April 11, 2015, 07:28:44 PM
Hi, i want to build a kart sim. I have got the steering sorted to use the kart steering column and then attach another boss to a motor, but i need help with suggestions for a PC that will be able to handle 3 monitors in very high resolutions and also won't be slow and glitchy. I also need help with using the standard kart pedals instead of mounting PC pedals to it e.g logitech etc..

Any help will be greatly appreciated! :)

Get your PC from Main Performance PC, they're great.

That will definitely work, although i woul say that f. ex. an quad core e7 5th gen might be too strong for an Nvidia 760. It definitely works very good, but you might not need the strenght of an e7. Not 100% sure.

That's only a site not specs

I would recommend at minimum a quad core i7 4th generation or newer
Nividia 760 or AMD equivalent
8 gigs of RAM
1tb hard drive or ssd

Get more RAM for a RAMdisk, they kill SSD :)

I would recommend an i5 4690k as that is more then plenty. Also an Nvidia 970 is awesome or AMD equivalent.
