Title: Which Kart is close to 125cc Restricted?
Post by: AscendingDrive on December 28, 2014, 03:09:32 AM
Hello, I have used Kart Racing Pro for a year now but in 2015 Iam going to start racing in the Australian TaG 125cc Restricted category using the Arrow X3-CIK chassis & iame x30 power. I was wondering which kart in KRP is the closest to this

in krp I think the closest is the kf1 because it has 16,000 rpm and reaches basically the same speed as the x30. There is a x30 sr. engine though that somebody has made for krp. Here is the link-http://www.mediafire.com/download/0xw56tdw1b9sra3/Iame+X30+beta+v4.zip

KF1 produces 35 HP and is in no way similar or comparable to an X30. The KF is around 3-4 seconds faster due to the hand brake as well as the top end power it produces. A KF engine is in a class of its own, with a KFJ engine even lapping quicker than most X30 Seniors can go. The X30 that has been linked is good modeling of the engine, but the curve/dyno used to create data points was based on Horse Power, not on Torque, which is the way that the sim reads data points for engines. I would still use the X30, but realize that it isn't (nor is any mod) a 100% representation of the actual engine. Even then, the Iame/Parilla Leopard has been made, which is much more comparable to an X30 than a KF is. Even then, if you are really struggling for a 125cc sim, try the Rotax. Best of luck!
