I know this would be a programming nightmare but how about a spectator mode for the game servers. They could stream out to anyone wanting to watch a race. Should be good for newcomers and a great marketing tool if nothing else.
Just an idea because I don't think anyone else does this at this stage.
You can spectate using "replay" option, then "live" :)
That is fine when you have the game, but what about the people who don't. I am looking at something streamed over a webpage for the masses to view :).
You can have a central database of the available races and race times for people to watch and see how it all runs. All they have to do is click on a link and they can view the race, practice, qualifying, etc.
