Title: new class
Post by: nmpcs on December 11, 2012, 10:39:19 AM
I was viewing a poll about who drives real karts and at the time about 16% are not real drivers... I'm thinking they are maybe gamers or rental karters like me.
So why not add another kart category? A rental kart would be nice for those who have only driven that kinds of karts.
Here in Portugal the rentals are like these ones http://cabodomundo.planetaclix.pt/frota2.htm
Those karts have Dino chassis and Honda 270cc engine with 4 strokes and 9hp. I think it would be nice to have them.
So what do you say?

i think the fs250 should be enough 4strole and with bodywork modding we can make a rentalkart bodywork.

That would be nice, still the fs250 is too powerful for a rental kart :)

These engines are the Honda GX390... i race them, it has about 21hp with the big carburetors,my father tune them and he did a engine tune without restrictions that can reach 28~30hp with methanol and bike carburetor =D it is faster than a parilla xD

There is no rotax because it's almost the same as KF.

I think we need a cadet class also. I use this simulator to train my son who is 6 and although he is happy on the 100 he would also like to see and hear his own kart class. The lines are slightly different, the tyres are different and the way the gas is used can be different on a cadet. This is where it begins in life for many, so surely also on here. The cadet kart would also be good for beginners as it isn't too different to a rental kart.
There must be other kids from cadets using this program. They should be.

I doubt it will be a comer engine as they are made with chainsaw pistons and cranks, and are not really race engines. It will be some sort of IAME style engine probably like the 60 mini they use for WSK
