Title: Spec Maps
Post by: David Waters on April 10, 2012, 05:00:08 PM
Hi guys,

Quick question: I want to add a spec map to the tarmac on my track. I add it in BTB and it looks great in rFactor. When I convert the track to KRP though, I add the spec map in the 3DSMax material editor, but no matter what I do I can't get the nice track shine in KRP that I get in rFactor. Could someone possibly walk me through how to do it?

Cheers,
Dave.

Just to clarify, the SHD file should be in the track directory, along with the spec texture? It's not very clear in the guide.

It is very easy:

Just add the TXT file, renamed the extension to SHD, with the code:

bump
{
map = normal_map.tga
}
specular
{
shininess = 6
}

and put it in the TGA folder before the track exportation
