Title: Engine Temperature
Post by: Clive Loynes on February 04, 2012, 11:13:30 PM
I can see that we can alter the position of the radiator blind but what am I supposed to be doing with it?

I did try blanking it off more and the engine became hotter and probably lost a bit of power at around 60 deg C.

You have to control the radiator blind to reach the ideal temp around 53-55 max 56, no more no less.

Well it obviously depends on the type of engine.
For KS250, accordingly to a chat I had with PiBoSo, 60 degrees is the optimum temperature

Sure! But if he have a loss of power around 60°C is surely a 2 stroke engine!

You should keep the temperature at how it's in the beginning. So 50 or 60, depends on engine. That's the fastest.
