i should stick to paints right lol.  The actual banking isnt so bad its the hump before the banking.

Maxrod please make it.  This track is for my testing purposes. AS you can see its no where near raceable.

The version of BTB schwoni uses works for Win7 64,  Ive also testd it, and it works

Is this working online. Should be great fun!

I'll put online if i can fix the bumpyness.  I am going to move some vertexi.
I am not sure if dynamic groove is working.  It looks like only in turn one which is odd becuase it is all one object with the same texture.
The puddles show in MAX but not in KRP.  I really want Essay-like puddles.
Anyone delt with thi these issues?

I really like to know the procedure to make a track surface like ToowoombaKartClub. glossiness and bump
And how to put the concrete patches in turns.

Yes EVO make it less bumpy and it's a good fun track. :)
I tried it with the shifter and after some low 15" I flow away in one steep turns.  :o

yeah i flew off the track too once.  Should i make the walls higher? I wanted to put no walls...... :P
I want to give it a run down look like this.
If i cant fix the bumps the run down appearence will help
The track is l'Autodrome de Linas-Montlhéry, France.
This track has one degree more banking than mine and its sustained for much longer distance.

Anyone have answers to my earlier questions?  and should i remove the cross over in the middle?

No need to make the walls higher, if it's less bumpy it's just up to you to find the proper line. Hehe, reminds me to Papyrus Indycars in the 90th. :)

dont loose faith it actually pretty easy.  U dont really need all that extra stuff,  THe old add on Beta 1 tracks didnt have them and they are still great funI dound it
I found it easier to this track than to convert a GTR2 track.. Track creation for simple tracks is simple the more detailed you want then the more difficult it is

Hello: I see this post, and it reminded me when I ran an Fprod. Datsun Roadster in 1967. I was the first one
to race one. Then Sip Barbor came along and built a Datsun Dealer in SoCal. He entered one of his own roadsters at Riverside Racway in
Riverside. He never had a chance, I out ran his car for several years. LOL what fun by the way am now 66yrs old. Still raceing karts and
sims.
Thanks for the memories. Rogenator 8) I do have a Photo see if I can fine it.!!

Use google earth and import location into 3dsmax, Then lay line over route, loft then conform to google image plane.

Thanks EVO, it's very well drivable now. :)

Here two things I noticed.
-The place where the kart starts looks like asphalt, but if you move forward or backward your tyres are full of grass.
-When I started a new session sometimes the asphalt was grey and sometimes most of the track was black.

Thats lot better, You need to detach pit in editable mesh then you can rename it.

thanks for your reports guys. Any ideas about shadow missing in second half of turn ?  The texture has no alpha it should show

By default only TRK and WLL objects will receive shadows. To force an object as shadows receiver use the SHAD_ prefix.  may help

Fixed the grass on the tires. my invsible plane was too high
I have no idea about the color changing.

Maxrod the shad_ prefix did not work.  So i copied the turn 2 entry and mirroed it that didnt work either. So texture and mesh are out of the picture. what else could it be.  In the rain it shows missing wet surface as well

It looks as if you have over lap of material, mesh over mesh or poly over poly, try deleting mesh and see if there is one underneath, If that is the case you will see a shadow in 3dsmax.

I think it has something to do with the exporter.  Because i used a mesh from the turn 2 (working surface) and its still glitched
Title: Re: First Original Track Beta 3
Post by: maxrod on January 29, 2012, 06:38:15 PM
can you rebuild that part of the track, when i build a track in 3ds max i use a line then i make a plane then i pathdefom to the line so it is one section, then i can add to this. you just need to play with it, You will find the problem.

Thanks for the new version, I had no more color changes on the track so far.

I use the latest version of velodrom (February 14, 2012, 12:14:52 PM by EVO), but no times are recorded in the stats. Can you have a look at it EVO?
Lydd and Lydd Winter are OK.

You should always drive a lap after (re)registering a track to fix the data on the master server.
