Beta5 should now be ready for release. Is there someone ( preferably using a Logitech G27 wheel ) that is available for some private testing before public release?
Me PiBoSo i have the g27
:D
Schwoni has a G27 wheel, I'll contact him via messenger.
Yeah PiBoSo, thx sooo much!
I tell you PiBoSo, you save my last few days of holidays :D
i`m here and ready for a test ;)
Yes give it to Schwoni, he can also test with new tracks.
Link sent to Schwoni.
Hopefully he will post his feedback about physics and everything else.

I Will do THX
If no crashes and obvious problems are reported this build will quickly go public.
I'll keep my fingers crossed :)
This is going to be so epic!! I can't wait ;D
I tested all karts dry and wet on lonato. All in one very good. some small things. It still lag while the track dry, maybe only because multiplier. the wet tires of all karts there is the front tire on left side in wrong direction, And g27 lights don`t work. if i only have to copy this lines piboso posted in profile.ini i have done all right and don`t work. Marbles very good done work fine no lag. The texture of that marbles when they stick on tire is awesome really close to reallity. so all in one work fine no crashes but the test was only offline so we have to do it online and we know more about theese crashes.
There is one very small thing that can wait till beta 6, the 4 stroke have the same chain and chainblade size like the 2 stroke. in real the 4 stroke chain is so big like a motorcycle same for shifter. But this isn`t a problem now. most important are crashes and Netcode. So Let`s test it online ;)
i forgot physics at beginning so in first laps without multiplier it is slippery i only drove in first 4 laps with shifter a 43,99 so it is more realistic now i think.
if the tires become warm i feel more direct steering like more grip on front as beta4 but maybe there are some setup improvements and now my setup is different, but so it feels to me.
Driving in wet feels also very good i haven`t tested now if u have more grip on dirt outside as on clean inside like in real. If u want i can do that.

The "input" section should already exist, so the 2 lines must be added at the end of the existing section.
ok i retry that
Sorry my fail they work :D
Ok since the G27 lights work... gooo PiBoSo fix the textures and make us happy ;D

Great! Hopefully someone will publish a video. It would be nice to see the lights work.

Sounds good :)
PiBoSo, I think you should give the Beta5 also to some other people for an online test. Maybe Aritz, Racehard and The Iceman Marco (in alphabetical order ;)) would be a good joice. They often race together and can give you a good feedback.
i think the KRP server isn`t set to beta5 at the moment.
PiBoSo can arrange that by simply using another port for the Beta5 test ;)
HEHE the network pro ;)

There is one, at port 10601, but there is no point in a small-scale multiplayer test now.
If you release it, make sure you give us information about how to use the new shader. I'd like to upload the first Toowoomba version soon :)

50% of the karts now have the correct tyre mapping, an improvement over the 0% of Beta4 :P
Also, it's still labelled as "Beta", so if there are no reports of serious problems this should be the public release.
I think you can release it :)
Is it recommanded to do a clean setup (remove the PiBoso folder) or can we install Beta5 over Beta4?
I think we have to rework our setups. If you use your Beta4 setups you have much more oversteer in Beta5.

Please wait for release notes :)
I have problems with the G27 Leds enabled. They work, but FFB reacts erratic with the two new lines in the input section.
It suddenly pulls full to the left or right or stops working completely. If you press ESC and continue FFB is also lost. With leds disabled it works fine.
Didn't they work at Schwoni's?
I also saw his message here in the forum, but we didn't talk about the leds when we were testing online laps.
Eslotes is the third guy with a G27, he should test it aswell.
How can you test G27 lights? I have got one aswell.
Yes, it would be interesting to see whether it's only my wheel which shows this problem. In the meantime I did a second clean install of beta5 with a new profile, but the problem is still the same. It's also independent from the kart I use.

Thank you!
I think I'll go buy a G27 right now lol
Lol. Now you know why Schwoni and I bought ours two weeks ago ;)
PiBoSo No problems with the led's.
I'm Posting a Vid on youtube i would before 12:00 you have the vid.
Greatings Eslotes.
It seems to be a hardware problem with my wheel.
I just installed the rFactor demo with led support, which was included in the package and I get the same erratic behaviour.
Sorry for the trouble and thanks for all the improvements of the new version. :)
Mine works perfect without a problem! Thanks PiBoSo! ;)

Are you using the latest version ( it should be 5.10.127 ) of the Logitech software?

Yes, 5.10.127 for win7-64. Today was the first time I tested the wheel with leds enabled, I don't have other games installed, which support the leds. In the Logitech and windows control panel everything seems to be ok with the leds and FFB. Without the leds I have no problems with the wheel.
But the main thing is that KRP is working. :)
Now I know a bit more. It's not a hardware issue :). The wheel runs with another win7-64 and a win7-32 system without problems (leds enabled).
At my gaming pc, where I have the problems, there was my old G25 attached in the past. Maybe an outdated registry entry causes the problem. The bug shouldn't be too hard to find with two pcs to compare.
The main thing is that the hardware and KRP don't cause it. :)
