Title: QUESTION: How to give a engine a Push start?
Post by: Gillestheracer13 on February 19, 2017, 05:17:59 PM
Hi all.

I'm trying to create my first few engines mods for Kart Racing Pro which require a push start.

Can anybody help?

I'm working on a OK, OKJ, and a IAME 100cc Komet engine in case someone is wondering.

Thanks to anyone who can help me, and with everyone i really do mean everyone ;)

I dont have the actual answer for you, but I suggest comparing the F100 engine and a KF for example. Then you may find out which settings differ to make the engine require a push start

Already did, but no option in the files say something about push start or anything similair in that case.

The difference between the files is this

" clutch
   {
      maxTorque = 34         ; ~ 26 Nm * 1.3
      centrifugal = 1
      minRPM = 2400
      maxRPM = 3200
   } "

( engine example being the i_kf1 ) the file is named i_kf1.cfg that it is in, in order to make something direct drive, simply get rid of it, also get rid of
" starter
   {
      torque = 2.5
      maxRPM = 2100
   } "

From the same file its located a little further down.

( The F100 doesn't have that located anywhere )

....Did you save it....? and rename it properly? and is it still a .cfg or did it turn into a .txt

Hi all.

I'm working on a OK, OKJ, and a IAME 100cc Komet engine in case someone is wondering.

Wait you are? If you figure out how to, do you have the 3dmax?

engine models are already done, only need a push start and some work on the tyres
