Title: American Tracks
Post by: T.J. Koyen on March 02, 2011, 12:03:27 AM
Hey guys,

I am clueless on the track building thing so would any of you be interested in doing some American tracks?

New Castle is a great one: www.newcastlemotorsportspark.com
(http://newcastlemotorsportspark.com/photos/trackdia1.jpg) complete with section lengths.

I'd appreciate it :D

I started making this a while back for rfactor along with a few other us tracks, just haven't had time to finish them. I have thought about picking back up on them and converting them to this game.

Hey..i finally got here, after a few people told me to check it out..
I have a perfect New Castle made.. needs everything else.. all buildings trees and other TSO's
not really sure on the conversion process, and not sure i'll even try as still waiting for ISI's new toy to come out.
but never say never... 1st day on it today... it's is very good, and going in the right direction,
but a long way for being perfect.  and as you may know Casey.. i have quite a few tracks.

conversion is not hard as you can build tracks and use 3dsmax, then you can convert them, we could do with more people doing them as there are lots of requests and as you know the time it takes to make tracks, as for ISI the wait has been long.

I am trying to make two tracks in New Jersey.  I wanted to an r factor conversion of one but it is not avaible and the authors is not responsive.  This track is easy enough to make.  The other will be difficult but when its done there will be three possible track layouts.

I had made this a while back and figured I would get back into it, going to be fine tuning the track layout, elevations were a pain in the butt to get right. After I tweak it a bit I'm going to make the garages and pavillions plus add banners, trailers in the pits, 3d techpro barriers. I may need some assistance getting this into krp tho if anyone is willing to help.

I have been a bit busy with work the past few months but with beta 5 coming out I have decided to work on the projects more, I am in need of someone to convert them to krp though as I do not have 3ds max(only blender) nor the knowledge of using it or the krp tracked program(tried but failed miserably). If someone is willing to help me convert these please send me a pm on here and I will get back to you as quickly as possible, going to try and knock out the trackside buildings on the two tracks I have posted already tonight.

Buildings are now finished and placed on the track, only things left are barriers, banners around the track, trailers/tents in pit area, and 3d grass. Hopefully the track will be ready to go into krp for someone to convert for me within the next couple days

Hello So where are the tracks supposed to go?

In your main installation directory create a folder, change the folder name to "tracks". Place the downloaded files there. Its that simple.  :)
