Currently in the KRP motors are the Vortex brand, it would be good to have other engine manufacturers as IAME, TM and other manufacturers in addition to Vortex. ;D
I hope you like my idea
no then i prefer other engines like Inter and x30 rotax[not as much]
I prefer the VT250. But I think more engines will make this game better en more complete. :)
If I think the idea of adding new engines would be good, plus it would add more reality to the game and that the categories are not world-brand engines but you can use different brands and models. The addition of Rotax also would be nice to create another category in the game besides the KF1, KF3 and KZ1.
Could it be yamaha 100cc KT?
nothin under 15hp unless for kid karts
Iame Parilla sudam 38HP 18,000 max rpm the 2011 edition !.LOOOL common this is fuck*ng awesome!
Yahama is 15 hp... and why not?
Gran Turismo already has the yamaha kt100
Iame Parilla sudam 38HP is really crazy must be very good.

Yeah... but this sim is much better than gt5... just saying...
KT-100 (pipe/can) would be great for a lot of us

I agree
KT is the beginners engine... so why not add it? I think a lot of people would like it. Maybe a poll will do it.
The KC3 is bascailly a KT100.
I think a poll would be interesting. How would you make it? Everyone is going to want every engine. I can tihink of a bunch off the top of my head that are already desired ICA,JICA, rotax,kt100,SA250,ComerW60.
I think what ever adds variety to the game Wins.
Right now the three classes are great becuase they are the current top tier of Karting classes in the world
The addition of 4 stroke will pull in alot of 4 stroke guys and the Comer W60 would be great for the little guys out there and their fathers trying to get them into karting without the risk of breaking their necks.
ICA FOR EVER XD
ICA would be great because it would have the behavior of the krp kc3 chassis but with way more power wouldn't it.
And how the kc3 chassis behaves is definitely awesome, only the lack of power lets me choose a different class.
I`m also still for an ICA
I can take pictures from my old Vortex VR/CW from 1999 if you want.
http://karting.alrocharari.be/#11.18 (http://karting.alrocharari.be/#11.18)
Yes that should be good,KF3 Chassis with the ICA Engine [Vortex w/golden head,TM K11B,Parilla ReedJet,Parilla Sudam,Maxter,Comer)
But i think with the Parilla model can make many engines like Reedjet,sudam,x30 just changing the RPM and Horse Power.
PANPAN overal photos and dimensions would really help i could make a 3d model in a couple hours.
take the pictures from far away and zoom in this will help flatten the photo.
Engine mount angle is also important.
Front, back, top,left, right
They use this airbox right?
if they do I have a bunch of these lol
Im pretty excited I want to help the game grow as much as possible. I noticed they also used this airbox
(http://www.birelamerica.com/images/stories/freeline_airbox.jpg)
but i think this is worse for peroformance and better for the engine. We want super power and danger of breaking.

OK, I prepare some pictures.
The airbox used was different (At least for me)

I know of old aircooled enignes having side carburators but i didnt know ICA had them.
AS long as the engine fits on the current chassis and body model it should be possible to put it right on to the chassis.
what kind of induction does it have? rotary vavle? how much horse power? Scwhoni says his got 44hp. I want to model the best ICA engine ever made.
what does the third needle on the carb adjust. Mid level needle?
Evo in the first seconds you can see many different filters
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FbMcuZRTrF8&feature=mfu_in_order&list=UL
that doesnt look like a vintage movie of ICA but a recent club level race. These guys use filtered airbox to preserve their engines. I still think Socorem is the best becuase it has no filter it is just a airbox. You will suck in dirt but you will have the most power. Anyway what engine was best?
Quote from: evo1087 on December 01, 2011, 02:30:41 PMAnyway what engine was best?
Which engine water coled or ??
so i use the same airbox as panpan only i have this 2 holes on the higlighting of the top. No filter only conical holes i think they are the same as panpan`s only open so without this mesh.
i don`t knoiw how to explain teh induction in english :) maybe i try later. Water or Air cooled? i would say air cooled i know it is older but we allready have water colled karts enough and the highest rpm that i know at the moment is 18000 - 18500 rpm. Air cooled engines can do 20 - 21000 if u drive it so high the engine is very fast broken ;) round about 4 hours racing after run in time. But with such high rpm u almost have very much power also on tight corners. It is slow from 0- 7000rpm from 7000- 9000 it starts slowly to acclerate maybe u can compare with kc3 and from 9000 - 19000 or also 20000 u have VERY much power after that the power get a bit less. I drove more tire brands: Dunlop, Bridgestone, Maxxis and also conti soft the contis have had much grip from beginning but with all tires if u get out of the pit ( so cold tires) the engine arrive the 9000rpm and the tires start spinning on straight :) so real power. Chasing shifters is also not a problem it depends on the shifter engine and the driver ;) but much shifters u can get with that also on straight. I think it is enough explained
Last but not least my engine ( air colled) have a weight of only 9 kg if i remember right. so very less weight and so really driving like a train very much grip on some tracks like venray ( netherland) u can`t breathe in some curves :D another thing why i prefer the air cooled less weight.
edit: i forgot i think the best is without clutch so direct driving less loosing power and another reason for fast broken engine :) running at 20000rpm full brake to 0 rpm and lift brake and it starts again to 12000rpm for example so that`s really hard and much wear :)
If we go into this direction, I hope we will be allowed to tune the carburation while driving and beeing obliged to close air intake with the hand. By the way, I was also able to take 20500 RPM on my Vortex VR/CW but ... not long :o
And if you are out of fuel in the middle of a straight ... BOUM :-[ :-[
But what a pleasure to drive (and to push) ...
tune caburation while driving ok but not so important i think for first time. close air intake with hand is a must.
with no fuel on straights i have nerver had. i always take a look at the fuel bottle all few laps.
my engine was so often broken^^ one time at full 20000 rpm ca. 140 - 150 km/h (no clutch) so i spinned 4 times and stopped in middle of track :D that was a shock
Guys, I love all your ideas and hopefully we can make all these wishes, look here in Argentina ICA engine filters are used with flat gray as in the photo are some direct drive motor cooled by water and other air, abundant water cooled it most. Good point is that an ICA motor would come in the game would be very great and used by all, so good, I hope all our wishes can be met. Would have to ask someone to start creating photo gray filter as it was the kind used with engines ICA
So we agree the gray one was used the most for ICA. I own about five of these. Dont know why lol. I can make it accurately in 3d quick
Look at thoose Filters.

Schwoni is sending me everything i will need
Evo what do u think abaut doing the Freeline? i like then i dont like the old one
I like the KG filter. Evo most widely used filter is the gray plane of the page above, you may create it in 3D for when we already have the engine ICA? We could try to KC3.
it is not that easy Its not like making a dash. The model I make has to be formated properly in 3ds max according to KRP. Then PiBoSO will decide whether it can be added it in Beta5. It is completely up to him. We dont want to stress him. We want to help as much as we can.
We need a dyno with hp and torque curve. Also weight. And probably many other things.
Airbox model and rendering
the freeline is the coolest but this one was the moslt widely used i believe. That Freeline was put into production after ICA was dead.
The filtered ariboxs are used today by the guys that want to preserve their delicate engines which are no longer have parts easily availalbe

the engine you discribe reminds me of the Formula A class in Super1Karting game
the wheels spin when you accelerate
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=endscreen&NR=1&v=0njWLJGSlEY
you could cover the airbox in this game. It just gave you a little boost
I figured out how PANPAN and Schwoni's ICA/FORMULA A egnines work
fitted on the crank shaft is a circular plate made of metal or a composite material which spins with the engine. The plate has a cutout section which lets fuel through.
Modern engines use flexible carbon fiber Reed Petals (valves) which bend though suction letting the fuel pass.
Comparing the two i think the rotarty seems like the better option, better airflow and more durable (metal version)
The idea is really smart. Funny to see the carb coming out the side.

Hello is that right 5 engines!! Want to sell one to an old fart still racing. Alas now on socialsecurity budget slim
I have an old invader made in california usa. It is set up for left hand drive need
a motor.
Post a reply ok Rogenator :)
sorry no i have five of those airboxs lol they use them on TAG engines which i only have one.
EVO, the filter is really great, eager to use ajajaja, and as you say, this filter was the most used ICA engines, the freeline appeared when there were water-cooled engines with no more direct transimision. :D ;) :)
I need some pictures and dimensions then i can make it with a nice and simple model with great textures to make it look more life like. then we can see if it can be added to the game. Iam starting to like Schwoni's idea the most of all of the air cooled engine to add a differnt look to the game
Yes, I think so, you should create an air-cooled engine ICA. Would give a more classic look as well. Like the filter that you have made could be used safely with KF3 or KF1 :D
I think Aixro could be a good choice for new type of engines, too.
I think you should fill the classes already available with the various types of engines present in these classes, like for KF1 Vortex Maxter Maranello IAME TM XTR etc. and then for KF3 and KZ1 as well.
Also I don't understand why the classes are called KC1 and KS1 because there should be no naming issues or copyright infringement since it's just a kart class?

You mean visual difference between different brands of engines?
I would make engine models like i make dash models for the community
What about if we make all the different types of airboxes and then we can choose in game, which one we want
