the historial was not very interesting in the example, it was server information, not people talking, but we were alone and there weren't conversations to show...
I made the BOSS porshce 944 for LFS back in the day Porsche driving suit too. Made the game look more real. I dont like the made up tracks or cars, but the physics are perfect. Tire flat spotting, visible tire deformation. I think KRP can be better. We have dynamic groove! The physics are very close to kart with the right adjustments. I need to get people from my track into KRP to have LAN races in the winter.
The new steering wheel template is great, but what about the possibility to paint the metal of the steering wheel? Same for the levers, pedals and steering hub.

HDR high dynamic range / rendering
Alot of modern games gave this feature. Some old great games like Richarf Burns Rally were modified to have this feature. I hope we can get it. The it will add more visual amzingnes to an already amazing sim

I suggest a way to see all the servers, no matters if the track is on our krp/tracks folder or not. This way, we can know which are the most interesting tracks or the most played. And this is not all, we have to think in all those non "forums lovers" players who don't know the "extra" tracks. They will know there are more tracks than officials.
A little info about the "tracks" forum will be interesting aswell; a link in the krp.com tracks section (http://www.kartracing-pro.com/?page=about§ion=tracks) directing it to forum/tracks section. People will love to know that his nearby track is modelled to play with if they buy the game and no everybody look for it the forum section when they are looking for game information before buying or not the game ;)

I have to say that the track forum is a disaster for new players... There are mixed requests and done tracks, with no clear title on the threads... Is the download database updated? It should be :)

It depends on which moment of the turn, is not the same the first steering wheel movement, the countersteer or the no movement moment . Is "easy" to shift when the kart is exiting of the turn or even when the kart is turning without oversteering. But in general, I would say NO. In the turns, you have to turn, just turn.
Anyway, I've never seen a pilot changing the visor in karting. The races are short and the helmet doesn't usually get dirty enough for using the F1 detachable visors. I've never used that feature in KRP by the way ;D
oppolo I used to play that game all the time. not very realistic but the only decent karting sim back then. I like Lydd the most.

Krp could do a bit better, when it comes to the typical sliding into the corner, sometimes i have difficulties and have understeering in krp. But maybe that's because of the general lack of feeling compared to reality.

It should be possible to change engine when you rejoin a open server and want to drive with another engine. So the server doesn't have to get restart. ;)
And more precisely tire pressure and radiator cover.

Since Beta 4 I have problems on the track... I don't know how to explain... when you are driving and only in some places on the track, the game it's not running correct and you find yourself out of the track... the computer suffers managing with the graffics... I'm testing about it and I think the problem occurs at places where the dynamic track surface is present. At tracks where this feature is not present I think the game is running correctly so... I would like in the future to be able to disable the dynamic track surface in the menu... same as graphics configuration and all that stuff.

If the problem is the dynamic track surface and that's something that's not easily solved, being able to disable it is a good thing :)

and also when you use the push feature when it gear you dont have to use the clutch at all and all you do is hit the gas and the engine starts. thats not very accurate and shouldnt happen

But he has his point... Rotax is not the same as KF3 at all.
I think that if ICA has to come, OPEN class has too and the best two engines when I drove that class were Rotax Max and Parilla X30. Now I can't say anything because I drive KZ2, but I still see the same two engines in the races.
I have to say that OPEN class is only a little bit slower than KF3, so does it worth? mmmmh
The KF3 is actually more underpowered than any of the TaG style engines used, the KF3 makes around 28hp while the rotax and leopard make 32 hp and the vortec rok makes roughly 34hp(run with 15lb weight penalty normally). The power bands are also completely different between the two engines. IMHO I wish that PiBoSo opened up modabilty to the classes and engine packages available in the game like he has with the gauges so we could add any engine that we wished instead of arguing over what should be the next one that should go in, and that is what would make this sim reach its highest potential.

Off course not KC3. I know here in the Netherlands both systems get used with FS250 in real. I'm not sure how it's with KC1. But if they're both allowed in real for KC1 it's the same for FS250, there should be also a option for KC1.

Tyre flex (like rf2 has shown in their preview vids), Schwoni told me that sometimes (0.8 bar, cold tyre) he almost thought the tyre would pop off the rim. So horizontal tyre flex is clearly visible in reality.
And what about a red stripe on the tyre's center, which then rubbs of after a few turns, maybe three or so (I think we generally should have a good eye on kart sim, maybe there are some ideas, which krp could make profit of ;D They will copy krp in some ways for sure)

I created these for rFactor and would love to convert them to Kart Racing Pro. The dynamic weather effects and visual track changing effects would offer so much more to these than rFactor can provide.
I've already run out of buttons and I have the Logtiech Driving force pro with the most buttons, but needle adjusting with arm movement and limited steering while adjusting would be so emersive

-Rolling start penalties applied after the race, even DSQ. The point is most of the times, the race has to be repeated because of one little mistake of one pilot. Why not to be disqualified after the race? At least you and your friends enjoy the race... After the race, you must be DSQ in the results and the winner will be the second of course.
-Rolling starts are quite difficult to understand for non karting experts (me included...) So, why not a HUD type speed limit info? Something like the 2D flags but with the speed limit (50kmh during the lap - 40kmh in the corridors and no limit when the line is crossed)

Needle adjusting is done in all classes, opposed to airbox choking in 100cc only, right?

Do you normally do it long enough to stall the engine? (Of course it keeps running because the wheels are spinning, I don't know if this is really called stalling then)

i think we need some drivers like offline races because no body is ever on when i am so can we have offline races or is that to hard
we need a sort of lobby to chat or we can use teamspeak which is easier especially while driving. I need to figure out why my teamspeak doesnt work while playing KRP but fot other people it does.

I think it would be helpful to see what the tops times at any particular track are from the pits menu so you know how your doing at any track. It might not be as useful to experienced guys who know what they're doing but for newbies it would be helpful to gauge your progress.

Editable corridors.
They are too long now and some tracks have the last turn near the finish line, so actual long corridors are on the curve and it is almost impossible to go into them :S

Same for wet conditions, see the spray because now it look like the others drive in dry conditions.
just so you know birel, or at least the works teams, are not running the old side pods that are specific to birel karts. They all have the new style Tony kart side pods so it is only the front pod that is still specific to birel karts only
I would like to have the option to disable number plates and numbers in all karts and categories. In the TK design the number plate is always there and it's quite annoying as you can't make a nice design on some parts covered by it.
In this way we could add directly on the paint design of kart the number plate color-shape and number desired, as it follows in the work I'm right now:

I know it. What I mean with 'to disable' is doing the numbers not visible. In this way you have your number internally to allow the simulator to know who is who. Although you are right, it would be better to have something as on CRG model and some different number styles and colors in game to choose. So we can see all kart designs without exception.

And also rather than about 30 degrees of caster adjustment, perhaps an image of an actual caster/camber pill which you can click and rotate to a particular setting? to make it more realistic to real-life settings

I think the more visual it gets the more it will help karters under stand setup realtive to their actual karts.

On the the chassis setup screen you see a kart diagram and when you adjust something like torsion bars you see them in, out, flar or vertical,
seat you see a section view of a kart chassis and seatr its distance to the ground, from the rear lip to the axle, and its angle.
In other you see the track widths change. The toe of the front tires angle in or out,

But there is people that arent aloud on Internet for reasons, it would make the game a while lot better, it would make it a better racing game
a LAN is a network. You not accessing the world wide web at all.
Its not that easy to have two laptops or two computers or one of each, and i have no one to race against at home

When going into pit entry, it automatically takes you to the garage menu instead of going to the garage half way around the circuit just for added realism?
and remove the 'Return to garage' option' altogether and replace it with 'Reset' option in case the kart rolls over?

piboso can stop working on karts and classes if that mod that people can make classes was avaleble piboso would just have to make shore theres no bugs and if there is just fix them and make that a new beta he wouldent have to wory about the classes

I updated the list. The option should still be avialable but a new feature to goto garage by entering the pit would be super realistic. We be cool to if a mechanics was waiting for you at your pit stall. This could be done like the flag man feature but with mechanic skin.
Then you have to put a mirror in the pits, I am my own mechanic ;D
It will be a great detail if the tyres look wet when you pass trough a wet part.
Now the game knows when the tyre is passing through the wet part and when is not, the water shower appears, so it seems easy to fix that (a wet texture for the tyre?)

It doesnt need to be anything amazing when you enter the pits, but the F1 2011 game you see the car get put up on the jacks, and it would be nice in this if we could see a kart on a stand with a tool box,

In motocross they have numbers up to 999, but not sure what's common in karting, but I've seen numbers up to 1xx and even 2xx on pictures several times, but why shouldn't there be the possibility to use numbers up to 999. What do the others think and know?
I too haven't seen numbers over 300, but it can be possible, don't know. At least for me up to 299 would be enough.

You can only see them when you turn your head and that messes up your line. I suggest more of a parental view so that way you can see the guy along side of you when he is along side the side pod

I think the LFS system to use the side view is good,if you press to look to the left you will look 45° to the left but if you press to look to the left then press the button to look to the right you will see 90° to the left,i hope you can understand what i want to say xD
in settings in KRP
cockpit view uncheck FULL HEADING
that will give you the heading range you desire
it works exactly as you say LFS does with full heading unticked

they are the only karts birel make so there are none others on birels, and easykart is just a blue birel with blue pods. It is based on an old frame from about 2002

I did this awhile back
if you want to feel every bump and more g forces try this
Goto your KRP insalation directory extract misc.pkz
In the new misc folder copy and paste view.cfg
this will act as your backup
Open view.cfg with notepad
change these values to have more of a g force sensation and a greater vibration sensation on the curbs and bumps
lat_factor = 0.03 => 0.07 or 0.05
vert_factor = 0.03 => 0.1 or 0.07
long_factor = 0.0 => this is braking (feels good default)
pitch_factor = 1.5 => this is for tilting forward and back (feels good default)

I meant the actual 3d model of the driver should move and bounce, at least the legs. Wouldn't it be awesome to have that bit more reality, if the legs would move from left to right in the turns through the G-forces.

No realistic weight, you could decide where the weight is on the driver so if his bottom half was the heaviest then you could have that if he's top heavy it would make a difference to

Hi, here are some suggestions for a future update on KRP after some online games we've had:
1) Block from the chat all drivers in pre-final and final sessions (except admins).
2) Different colors for each driver in the chat font, that makes it easier to read when we're writing several at a time.
3) Private chat, having the possibility to speak privately with someone within the server.
4) Block all drivers the possibility of voting to skip the session (except admins, who skip it automatically)
5) Editable grill, either in pre-final or final - to be able to edit the grill for penalties the game doesn't currently take into account, like crashes between drivers.
6) After the final, to avoid the server from changing tracks automatically. What happens is that after finishing the final it changes the track, or it loads the same one but the conection to the server is not good, some players connect without problems but others have to get out and back in again.
7) Adding a damage percentage, to make it more customizable. When there's too many karts, for just small bumps the direction axle breaks and you can't continue.
8 ) Allow a bit more contact between karts, since for small bumps the karts get hooked up and they're out.
9) Change or modify the "eject" button, maybe adding another button for only kicking the driver without banning him permanently.

Being able to fully Customize your driver height not all drivers are the same look at Callum Illot for example he is 14 and in KF2 in wsk Series and he is only just over 5ft and then there is Simas Judvorsis in KZ2 who is over 6ft so you should be able to choose in Profile settings.
and also more Grip in General there is way too much under steer and not enough actual front or rear Grip in 32 degree heat. (if someone has mentioned this, link me to it and don't post "someone has already done this")
It would probably be easier to have a shorter KF3 driver, as it would be really complicated to let everyone have different heights

ha yeah being small is good because of airflow, i know when im racing because im smaller than most than most 12-16 year olds being smaller defiantly gives me a small advantage over most, it also improves center of gravity so maybe in krp the kf3 wouldnt roll over as much? ???
good point james. not only do smaller drivers have a lower cg but they also have less air resistance.
To be honest in karting the air resistance makes only a very small difference in laptime as the average speeds are not that high and also if you consider how un-aerodynamic karts are to start with anyway a small change in height wont make much difference :)
This leads to a new suggestion of mine which is that the tuck in krp atm makes too much difference in speed, in real life you dont tuck and gain a whole kart length in one strait like in krp, you may gain 1 foot (30cm) max usualy less. In real life i often find it is better not to tuck as you are less likely to be out of position for the next corner and this may loose you tenths for an initial gain of thousanths so your overall race time will be faster if you do not tuck due to you being more focused and consistent :)

PiBoSO said it shifts your weight forwards and reduces your aerodynamic drag. test it your self. Liam is right though its should be even more effective in a drafting situation

Liam, try the shifter,tucking, 6th gear at 180kmh, then like..sit back up and watch the speed go down
i have a feature suggestion - when we start the game up in the main like screen we could have like a chat thing so we can easily communicate and easily see who's online and if there in a race

Piboso can you please make the rain driving more realistic with less grip. On some tracks the laptimes in the game can be 6 seconds faster than in the rain in real life.

the grip in the rain is perfect or i would say its not enough. the only thing is that you mustnt drive a rain line for good grip you can drive the dry line.

I agree that there is too much grip in the rain. On the Dutch track of Berghem the difference between wet and dry for me was 11 sec last month. While on most tracks in krp it isn't much more than 5 sec.
i agree, at kimbolton which is a very abrasive grippy circuit the difference is upwards of 10 seconds from dry to full wet :P

I would love to see a feature where you could go back and study your laps. Maybe show a track map with a colored line where you drove, where you were on the brakes, where you were on throttle, etc. This would be a great feature for the simulator and make it a great training tool. You could try changing braking points and driving lines and actually see how you changed them and what it does to lap times. Maybe even allow to fast laps of others to be overlaid on yours to see what you are doing differently.

There is already a very good Telemetry Analyzer for KRP: http://forums.piboso.com/showthread.php?tid=782
The thing I would like to suggest is that when we set up a server, we could have the option of running a fixed setup determined by the server host. This could make the racing a bit more interesting, in that we all have the same setup, but it's up to the driver to drive good, not just the setup

yes i like this idea but the only thing is that we all have different wheels and pedals, so things like brake pressure would need to change depending on the pedals you have i used to run my old logitech i had to have at 55% now with my g27 i have it at 75+ % for the pedals to feel exactly the same. i think their should be stuff you can change and stuff you cant, but i like the idea :)
itt would be a good way of running a non time consuming championship, once the internet for the game is better, and would also be better for people who have not had the game as long :)

but who hosts a server could use his personal setup and make it fixed ? - anyway default setup is not good for me
I training offline with my setup and then I should join a server with fixed setup? sorry no way :)
it's a my personal taste offcourse but I will never join a server with a fixed setup, and If I'll host a server it will always be free setup :)
I think when they say fixed setup they mean default.
The only thing that I think would really make a difference is the brake pressure. Even tyre compound is not so critic.
I would love to join a server like that, when all that matters is your driving skills.
For me it would be a nice new feature :)

It would be nice to have heats like in real life and you can chose to have like two practice sessions one with 7 min an one with 15 or have the same time. Then have time practice and heats and finals

Hi Piboso,
One thing i noticed that I find pretty annoying after switching karts etc is having to reset the setup every time i change class or track, especially to any particular combination I haven't used before - would it be possible to include a 'common' folder which you can access and load a modifiable setup to fine-tune for each particular track?
I understand I'm just trying to add to your huge list of things to do.... :P

I do like many of the things suggested in the list however i think all the physics and handling related things ..tyre, chassis, core game engine, FFB.. etc should always be top priority and should continue to evolve throughout the software's life. I also think generally there should be more tuneability in the force feedback like rfactor1/2 menu and ini file options. Not going to pretend to know much about it, but things like the low speed steering torque adjustment would be good to have.
